346.2 Christmas in July

Did you know Christmas is only six months away!?  I’m silently screaming so loud my head is spinning…”I’m not even readyyy!”  But you can start getting ready with the One Stamp at a Time’s Blog Hop.  Ready, Set, Go!

Christmas in July

To make this extremely clean & simple card I used the White Christmas stamp set and used Real Red, Crumb Cake, and Tip Top Taupe ink.  The photo doesn’t show it well, but I used the Stella Glitter Pen to give it a shiny snow sparkle look.

Christmas in July Purse

These sweet little purses are the hit of the town and I’m definitely making these for all the little girls in my life.  To make the handles, without poking holes into the paper, I braided three 10″ pieces and simply used our new Tear & Tape adhesive and it passed my test!  It held together just perfect!

MAGGIE MADE TIPS:

  • Braided Ribbon.  To make the handles on the purse I cut three 10 inch pieces of Wild Wasabi Seam Binding ribbon.  It helps to have the handles a little thicker so they stand up to the weight of whatever you put inside.
  • Cleaning Your Photopolymer.  Don’t you hate it when you clean your photopolymer with baby wipes or the Stampin’ Scrub just have a dark ugly pink tint left behind!?  Through research and another crafty friend (Nicole Picador) I found the BEST way to clean my photopolymer sets that removes at least 80% of the pink tint left behind by other cleaners.  See it here.
