Pals Blog Hop: Our Favorite Holiday

Welcome to the Pals September 2018 Blog Hop. The 2018 Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up! Is out and the Pals are excited! Sit back while we share creations from “Our Favorite Holiday”.

You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My favorite time of year is Christmas hands-down!  I’m also a less is more type of person.  Let me explain my card today.  I have let my PTSD get the best of me for almost two years now.  I stopped making as many cards as I had in the past and have had many false starts.  I tell myself “Go make a card now!” But my creativity or desire just wasn’t there.  A few months ago, I received a gift, the gift of a rescue puppy.  She has brought me so much joy and I’m getting back into my card-making.  It’s the reason why I used the puppy from the Ready for Christmas stamp set.  It’s simply adorable.

I didn’t have any of our wonderful Designer Series Paper and my card is proof that you too can create any background with pieces of card-stock.

Now it’s time to use the Blog Hop Line-up below to see what the rest of my Pals have created to inspire you.. Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 10, 2018, for the next Pals Blog Hop. October is time for some wicked fun with “Wicked Folds” where the Pals will show you creations that are anything but a standard card fold. Don’t miss the fun.

Pals Blog Hop: Cut It Out

Welcome to the August 2017 Pals Blog Hop. Thank you so much for joining us today. This month we’re going to “Cut It Out”.  Participants will feature projects with “cuts” from punches, dies, Framelits, Edgelits, or Thinlits.

Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

The die used to make the township silhouette will be in the Holiday catalog which will debut next month.  This will be the first of many Christmas cards that I will make for my loved one’s this Christmas, my favorite time of year.  To give the yellow illumination in the windows and doors, I used my Aqua Painters with a little bit of Daffodil Delight ink and barely dabbed it on the cardstock.  It doesn’t have to be perfect and messy is even better. =)  Our Fine Tip glue is perfect for the miniature cut-outs, especially the edges of the roof tops.

The moon is not perfectly round and I used a Basic Gray and Daffodil Delight very lightly to give it a kind of dirty look.  I stamped it off to the side to remove a little bit of the ink.  Santa and his reindeer are from the Hearts Come Home stamp set, which will also debut next month in the Holiday catalog.  The Stamp-A-Ma-Jig came in so handy when stamping Santa and his Reindeer.

Please take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on September 13, 2017 for “My Favorite Season”.  Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. Thank you so much for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Don’t forget to leave us a comment. We’d love to hear what you have to say about our creative “Cuts”.
