OSAT Blog Hop – Halloween/Fall

OSAT Hop Button

Welcome to this month’s Halloween/Fall OSAT blog hop.  I’m not a big Halloween gal, but I thought that since today is Thursday I’d do a Throwback Thursday card and quick & easy project.  Here’s what I came up to share.

Happy Halloween

OH-EM-GEE, who doesn’t love these little kids from the Retired Greeting Card Kids?  This set is kept in my private stash and I’ll continue to use it for years to come.  The sentiment is a yesteryear one too, it’s called Good Greetings and just like Teeny Tiny Wishes, I love it and that one too is worth gold to me.  I used Happy Haunting Designers Series Paper for the background of the card and I love how it allows the stamped image to pop on it own.

Pumpkin Paper Strips

Then I made this cute little “Paper Pumpkin” not pun intended right!?  What a clever name Stampin’ Up! came up with to put a kit in a box each month (LOL).  To make this cute (and really quick) pumpkin, I a 6″ piece of leftover Pumpkin Pie cardstock and stamped the Chalk Lines with Pumpkin Pie ink thick stamp to make the squiggly lines.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I am so happy each time you stop by.  Now keep going and hop on over to the wonderfully talented Elizabeth the Crafts By Happy Stamper and check out her sweet designs.  Don’t forget to leave comments on all your favorite stops.  See you next month!

OSAT Blog Hop – Back to School

OSAT Hop Button

Hello Back to School

Welcome my friends to One Stamp At a Time’s blog hop, you may have just come from the wonderfully talented, Diane Squires at Stamp and Embellish and today we are focusing on what many parent’s love and some kids dread…Back to School!  For my card I used our new up and coming Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper (Holiday Catalog) and took it a little bit back with an old school retired stamp set…Greeting Card Kids.  I’m so glad I held on to this favorite stamp of mine.

Thanks Teacher's Notes

My second quick little project is so simple anyone can do it.  I purchased these little note pads from Target one day and knew they’d come in handy.  I covered the front of it with more Schoolhouse DSP and used the Alphabet Rotary Stamp to stamp “Teacher’s” on it.  I won’t be giving this notepad away.  I’ll be keeping it for myself and use it at my new part-time gig….teaching at the Arts & Crafts Center on base. Oh my gosh, I’m so excited and I can’t wait to show you what I’ll teach there.

Now, on to the next gorgeously talented Eva Bussom at Eva’s Cards and Things.  If you get lost, don’t worry the complete list is below and you can find your way back.  Or just hit the Next button below and go check out the awesome project Eva has to show you!  Thank you so much for hopping by and hope to see you next month.

OSAT Blog Hop – Christmas in July

OSAT Hop Button

346.2 Christmas in July

Did you know Christmas is only six months away!?  I’m silently screaming so loud my head is spinning…”I’m not even readyyy!”  But you can start getting ready with the One Stamp at a Time’s Blog Hop.  Ready, Set, Go!

Christmas in July

To make this extremely clean & simple card I used the White Christmas stamp set and used Real Red, Crumb Cake, and Tip Top Taupe ink.  The photo doesn’t show it well, but I used the Stella Glitter Pen to give it a shiny snow sparkle look.

Christmas in July Purse

These sweet little purses are the hit of the town and I’m definitely making these for all the little girls in my life.  To make the handles, without poking holes into the paper, I braided three 10″ pieces and simply used our new Tear & Tape adhesive and it passed my test!  It held together just perfect!

MAGGIE MADE TIPS:

  • Braided Ribbon.  To make the handles on the purse I cut three 10 inch pieces of Wild Wasabi Seam Binding ribbon.  It helps to have the handles a little thicker so they stand up to the weight of whatever you put inside.
  • Cleaning Your Photopolymer.  Don’t you hate it when you clean your photopolymer with baby wipes or the Stampin’ Scrub just have a dark ugly pink tint left behind!?  Through research and another crafty friend (Nicole Picador) I found the BEST way to clean my photopolymer sets that removes at least 80% of the pink tint left behind by other cleaners.  See it here.

Thank you so much for visiting today.  Now go on and visit Kim Smith’s awesome Christmas in July blog hop project.OSAT Next Button

Pals Blog Hop: New Hues Review

6a017ee666297a970d01b7c7aae158970b-800wiWelcome to the Pals Blog Hop for July.  This month we are excited to show off the new 2015 – 2017 Stampin’ Up! In Colors, namely, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. The In Color products include card stock, designer series paper, ribbon and other embellishments.  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Natalie Bradley at Natalie Bradley Events, number 18 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Butterfly in Flight

Todays card shows you my two favorite In-Colors, Delightful Dijon and Watermelon Wonder.  My blog logo is a butterfly and it’s the only reason I used the Butterfly framelit with Delightful Dijon card stock….my two favorite things.  The sentiment came from Watercolor Wings Stamp Set and it’s another favorite of mine too.  I chose this sentiment because yesterday my husband had surgery on his skull and as I sat in the waiting room I began to think about all the little things he does for me.  He brings me Twinkie’s when he goes grocery shopping and he brings me snacks and drinks when I’m in my craft room.  It’s the little moments like those that matter  a lot to me.  Hence, the reason I used this sentiment!  In case you’re wondering, his surgery was a success.

The next stop is the fabulously one and only Mary Fish at Stampin’ Pretty, number 20 on the Pals Blog Hop!  Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!

Pals Blog Hop: In With The New

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for June. This month we are excited to show off new Stampin’ Up! products from the just released 2015 – 2016 annual catalog. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. Get your wish list ready!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Jane Knudsen at see jane stamp , number 15 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Encouragement
No one will ever believe what I went through to make this card for this blog hop.  This was my first take, but let me tell you what happened to me this evening.”…what had happend was…” I wanted to use all the new products to show you my favorite stamp set, which I had not used until today.  I chose the new In-Colors Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron with a hint of Watermelon Wonder to go with the You’ve Got This stamp set.

Well, although I didn’t like the way the colors blended together, I love them at the same time!  My eyes say, “Oh no, this puts the (ug) in u-g-l-y!”  So, what did I do!?  I went back to the drawing board to make another card.  It came out very pretty with colors that pleased my eyes…yet here it is, my original master-piece.  I thought well, whatev!  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  Enjoy the ugly ducking in all it’s beauty!

OSAT Blog Hop: Monochromatic

OSAT Hop Button

Hello

It’s that time of the month for one blog, two posts and One Stamp At A Time blog hop!  I really hope you enjoy it because I know I enjoyed those Jelly Belly’s inside that French Fry box.  As a matter of fact, I’m still eating them one by one. Mmm Mmm, see that bright yellow-green one?  It taste like lime or a Margarita…my taste buds can’t tell the difference right now.

IMG_5315

When I was asked to choose which colors I’d do for the monochromatic hop I chose these three variations of yellow.  Why yellow?  Because I literally carry sunshine in my pocket.  I carry them because when I go through a drive through at Starbucks I give a card to the car behind me and pay for their drink(s). I always check to see how many people are in the car and then I ask the barista the total of their drinks.  Not because I’m a cheap-skate!  I heard you think that…LOL.  I ask because I need to make sure I have enough cash on me and give them some of that sunshine.

hello

I packaged these Jelly Belly’s for my friend who was feeling a little blue yesterday.  I had planned on giving them to her today, but as the Fry Box finished his photoshoot… this happened.

hello

I just couldn’t possibly give her dirty Jelly Belly’s could I?  So I did what any true Jelly Belly lover would do…I ate them all, one bean at a time.

MAGGIE MADE TIPS: Not in cash, but great crafting recommendations.

  • Ensure photo props are clean.  Why is this a tip you ask?  Because one never knows when your project will take a dive and spill the beans all over the place.  It wasn’t a pretty site and I had to clean them up one jelly bean at a time.

Thank you so much for joining us today.  The next stop is the insanely Mad Paper Ninja talent of James at Stampin’ Stud.

OSAT Blog Hop – Mother’s Day

OSAT Hop Button

This is my second post today and I hope that you continue to scroll down to view my first post. It’s strange, but the card below this one is how I feel right at this moment.

Mother's Day Spanish

First, let me Thank You for you support. This blog isn’t possible without you my readers. A few days ago I was invited to participate in One Stamp At a Time’s monthly blog hop where we were to create Mother’s Day projects. You may have been directed here from Diane at Stamp and Embellish. Now on to the fun with some awesome Mother’s Day cards & project.

I’m not usually a flower person, but my mom and mom-in-law are and since I earned the Bouquet Bigz L Die I just had to try it out for the first time. You wouldn’t believe how easy it is to make these gorgeous flowers, the pictures don’t give them any justice.

Mother's Day Spanish

My mom-in-law lives two states across from me, so I’ll be mailing her the card, but I’ll be near my mom and I’ll be putting some cash in the Chevron Bag. I’m not worried about either of them getting a peek at their gifts because they don’t follow my blog and they don’t have computers.

Thank you so much for joining us on the OSAT Blog Hop and please continue on with the one and only fantabulous (fantastic & fabulous) Wynne at My Craft Side.

Pals Blog Hop: Hello Occasions

Welcome to the first Pals Blog Hop of 2015. We hope your new year is off to a great creative start. To celebrate the start of a new Stampin’ Up! year, we are showcasing products from our newest catalog this month – the Occasions catalog. You may also see new Sale-a-bration products too. If you don’t know how to earn free Sale-a-bration products – contact your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator to learn more.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Amy Whelan at Amy’s Inklings. Use the full lineup below to move along from blog to blog so you see all of the new projects.

Valentine's Love

The Occasions/Sale-a-bration Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack is by far, hands down the number one DSP to use for ALL your Valentine’s Day project needs! It’s the only one I’ve used and I’ve already ordered two more packs.

I measured four times and cut once (in small segments) to create the spaced out look. For the letters I used my ever “other” so favorite Little Letters Thinlits Dies. This is one of those sets that I know I’ll keep forever and ever…even after retirement (not my retirement, but the letters. LOL)

Pals Blog Hop: Our Favorites

Blog Hop Dec 2014

Welcome to the last Pals Blog Hop of 2014. This month we want to help you start your holiday wish list by sharing projects featuring our favorite Stampin’ Up! papers, stamps, tools and accessories. Get your wish list ready as you move along through the blog hop.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Nancy Gleason at MyStampinSpace on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the project.

Box

My all time favorite paper is the Under The Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper. Why? Because it’s thick enough to make perfect boxes, yet thin enough to keep its fold!

Box

The box stays sturdy and you don’t have to worry about it falling apart easily. I didn’t bother with decorating it either because it’s already nicely printed.

Box

To make this gift a special treat, I added three vanilla scented tea lights that are sure to make a lovely office gift. Do you give your office-mates, bingo buddies, bunko circle, or stampin’ friends little gifts like this?

The next stop is Debbie Crowley at expressivelydeb… on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you in 2015.

Pals October Blog Hop: Halloween & Fall

Oct Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Pals Blog Hop where we are celebrating an early Halloween and Harvest season. This month we are sharing Halloween and fall projects using our wonderful Stampin’ Up! supplies.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Becky Gifford at The Social Stamper, #2 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

Keepsake2

I’ve made so many of these simple, and oh so adorable Keepsake Boxes, but this is just one of 25 that will make its way to a vendor fair I’m participating in this weekend.  The versatility of the box is to infinity and beyond.  Just image a baby shower, wedding, birthday, oh the possibilities are endless.  As a matter of fact, I’m ordering an extra framelit for myself.  It’s simple and I want it… don’t you!?

Fall

This is what all the Keepsakes looked like in my most awesomest (yes, I made up that word – LOL) wine crate.  They look so PAPERLICIOUS I can eat them, but I won’t.  I dread them being torn apart to retrieve the chocolate treats inside.  Little Hershey’s kisses will gush out as it’s opened (carefully I hope).  Yummy for somebody’s tummy.

Pals Blog Hop: The Holidays are Here Again!

Blog Hop Badge Sept 2014

Welcome to the September Pals Blog Hop. This month we are showing off our favorite new products from the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. We hope you enjoy our projects!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Peggy Noe at prettypapercards, #33 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

Halloween

You can’t deny it the Holidays are upon us.  You can run, but you can’t hide.  Just go ahead and pull out the decorations even if you’re not much of a Halloween person… it’s Harvest time my friends.  I just want to show you my all time Halloween paper… Motley Crew!  Eeek, I can’t stop using it because it makes perfect little banners.  Don’t ya think!?

Halloween

The next stop is Lynn Kolcun at Stamping with Avery’s Owlery, #35 on the Pals Blog Hop!  Thanks for visiting and  I hope to see you next month.
