Stamp Ink Paper: Monochromatic

Stamp Ink Paper

What other way to say “thanks” instead of stamping it!? By using the Hello You Thinlits is the perfect way.  I’ve had this die-cut for a while, but have only began using it the last few weeks.

Can’t wait to see your blue’s over at the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #65.

The Details:

  • Monochromatic Fade with a Die-Cut.  To cut each color in one strip I cut three separate pieces of cardstock in their respective color and used scotch tap on the back then ran it through the Big Shot.  Since the scotch tape held it together it was easy to apply the Fine-Tip Adhesive glue to the back.

Stamp, Ink, Paper: Come Sit By Me

Stamp Ink Paper

I seriously am the friend your friend warns you about before you meet me.  Once you get to me you too will become afraid of what will come out of my mouth without warning.  I think it began shortly after joining the military…my filter came off and never put it back on again.  But don’t worry, I’m always very pleasant and never mean-spirited, it’s always done in a professional manner to make you smile.

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge

I’ve really been wanting to use this stamp for such a long time.  It’s not Stampin’ Up! and I purchased it at a craft show a few years back. I can’t even remember who made it, except that it an old saying I’ve seen on t-shirts and coffee mugs.  I’d love for you to see all the other funny cards created by the fabulous Stamp Ink Paper crew here.

The Details:

  • Make Your Own Wall Paper Background.  To make the wall paper I used the masking technique and stamped Wilma (not her name, I made it up) on a post-it and snipped her out and put it over the stamped image.  Then simply used the lines in Gorgeous Grunge to stamp in the background to give it the wall paper lines in the background.  It looked really plain when I stamped Wilma and created the background after I was done with the card.
  • Coloring. I made this card the night before I was leaving for vacation and I apologize, but I can’t remember which exact colors I used for Wilma’s clothing colors. But you can use your own favorite colors. I don’t know how to color coordinate…after spending 25 years int he military, I never color coordinated, I was just told what to wear….LOL.

Brought to You By the No. 16

Number of Years

Today’s card is brought to you by the No. 16 for the Stamps Ink Paper sketch challenge.

Stampin’ Up! has released several numbered sets thoughout the years and they’re all fabulous, but I must say this set is my favorite. Why?  Because it stamps a texture that gives the image a distressed look.

Number of Years

Highlights:

  • The photopolymer set is called Number of Years and I also used the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack  with Night of Navy cardstock.  I used Night of Navy because it pulls out the color from the star shapes in the DSP.  But you can bring out any of the other colors too.  Just depends on what colors you choose.
  • On the two previous two posted cards I used a few of the 2013-2015 In Color Sequin Assortment and I’m actually amazed they are still available in the clearance rack.
  • The other fold of this post is to let you know that you have a chance to get to know the other side of my twisted personality.  Retirement has given me so many avenues, I think I actually work more hours a week than I used to when I drove to a job.  But you know what? I love it!  If you don’t care or don’t want to know the naughty side of me, please don’t visit me here. It’s not for those with pure minds & hearts (LOL).
