Brought to You By the No. 16

Number of Years

Today’s card is brought to you by the No. 16 for the Stamps Ink Paper sketch challenge.

Stampin’ Up! has released several numbered sets thoughout the years and they’re all fabulous, but I must say this set is my favorite. Why?  Because it stamps a texture that gives the image a distressed look.

Number of Years

Highlights:

  • The photopolymer set is called Number of Years and I also used the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack  with Night of Navy cardstock.  I used Night of Navy because it pulls out the color from the star shapes in the DSP.  But you can bring out any of the other colors too.  Just depends on what colors you choose.
  • On the two previous two posted cards I used a few of the 2013-2015 In Color Sequin Assortment and I’m actually amazed they are still available in the clearance rack.
  • The other fold of this post is to let you know that you have a chance to get to know the other side of my twisted personality.  Retirement has given me so many avenues, I think I actually work more hours a week than I used to when I drove to a job.  But you know what? I love it!  If you don’t care or don’t want to know the naughty side of me, please don’t visit me here. It’s not for those with pure minds & hearts (LOL).

World Tour with Pals Paper Arts 288

World Tour

Happy Thursday everyone and welcome to another Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge.  This week I’ve been thanking my lucky stars for so many things in my life and the first one starts with this very blog I’m blessed with.  Second are my blog followers, you are the stars in my sky.

Maggie Made Tips:

  • Unintentional border:  The world has no borders, but I made an unintentional one with the oversized Circle framelits.  If you don’t like to fussy-cut, like me, the framelits and/or punches can make a “just the right size” border for your image.  It may not work with every stamp, but the rounds and squares are perfect!
