Clean & Simple SIP Challenge

Christmas

Peace Out!  Peace Be With You!  Peace On Earth!  So many meanings, one little word.  That’s what you’ll find in today’s card…one word!

Woohoo, I think it’s safe to really start a big push for all of our holiday from today on out right!?  LOL…each time I read all the comments about the subject on Facebook all I could do is chuckle.  Why?  Because as stampers, crafters, and scrapbookers, we have to be way ahead of the ball and so many of us prepare year round…LOL.  With that said, lets get going with a Clean & Simple card for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #21.

Stamp Ink Paper 21

MAGGIE MADE TIPS:

  • One Color Stamp.  I often thought that the Peaceful Wreath had to be colored in and you know what!?  It does NOT and it looks perfect in one color.  I believe my card proves that.  Just choose your favorite color and have at it.
  • Visual Balance.  Every card needs to have a visual balance.  Don’t get me wrong, white space is great and finding balance is a personal goal for me.  That’s why I used some Gold Metallic thread.

November On-Line Orders.  Receive the Metal Rimmed Pearls when you place an on-line order this month and use Host Code KQ6THF62.  Simply place an order via my on-line store.

Please do not select “No Contact” when placing your order.  Why?  Because if you do, I will not be allowed to contact you, even if you are a regular customer….and I will NOT be able to send you my FREE on-line order offers either.  Just make sure you select “YES, allow my demonstrator to contact me with order updates and other important information.”  Please know that I will never send you junk mail.

You Are More Than Welcome to Try Us Out.  My group is mostly all hobby demo’s who join for the discount on paper-crafting supplies don’t want the commitment of holding classes or being a salesperson (yuck right)!?   I welcome these types of demo’s with Arms Wide Open, so don’t fear a committment or a penalty if you sign up for the discount.  Heck, you can even team up with a friend because my team is a non-hassle, non-committment, no sales requirement team.  What does that mean?  Read it  here.

Watercolored Christmas with Pals Paper Arts

Christmas

Before I share my thoughts about this card I’m gonna say that I’m not the type of card-make that gets a “vision” sort-of-speak of the card I’m going to make, not even when it’s a card sketch. There’s no real science or college degree needed to make cards.  The only important this to have FUN!  That’s it folks.

Christmas

Although I feel more skilled than I was four years ago when I joined Stampin’ Up!, I feel I’m better now because like medicine, it’s a practice (lol), we’re all card-diologists.

My card was made specifically for the Pals Paper Arts Sketch 272.

MAGGIE MADE TIPS:

  • Fringes.  I added the golden fringes to the bottom of the designer series paper to stick to the sketch of the challenge (see below).  I wasn’t sure how it would turnout, again, I don’t get visions in my head, I simply just tried it.  Had I not liked the way it looked, I probably would’ve just taken it off.
  • Vellum.  I wasn’t sure where to stamp the sentiment and thought it’d be a good idea to use vellum. Pow!  Loved it.  The 2013-15 In-Color sequence finished it all off.

15% Off Stamps.  Starting October 19, stamps will be discounted 15 percent off retail. This sale will only be around for a few days and ends on October 23, so don’t miss out! Check back on Monday for more information.

October On-Line Orders.  Receive Five Yards of Silver Cording Trim when you place an on-line order this month.  Simply place an order via my on-line store and use Host Code: E3X9E4SK

Can Stampin’ Up! Make Some Freshly Made Snow?

Freshley made snow?  LoL… that’s the first thing I thought while putting this card together for Freshly Made Sketches #59… LoL.  What a perfect sketch to add to my Christmas card collection.  I will be sending my friends and family one of two sketches… the other one was previously published here.

I used the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper, and left over pieces of Basic Grey, Very Vanilla, and Riding Hood red.  The colors all blend together perfectly and beautifully.  A little bit of Chrochet Victoria lace ribbon, and large Pearl Basic Jewels pulled it all together.  I punched out two little blossoms from the Festival of Prints covered up with the Basic Grey cardstock.  The blossom is from the Itty Bitty punches collection.
