My card today is an inspiration from the Can You Case It card challenge. As you know, I have to practice what I preach and I love card challenges. They have helped me expand my skill as a cardmaker and a challenge is always good for the soul.

My scraps are never thrown away in my craft room because I know they will find their way into a card somehow. Today was the day…LOL.  Yes, even the flap lining on the envelope was scrap. What made it easy to choose the ink color was matching it to the scraps. That’s what so great about Stampin’ Up! (and I think you’ll agree) they make everything match for you!

  • Save Your Scraps. Why? For the reason I mentioned above. I keep every piece of my negative leftovers when I use my framelits. However, sometimes I use that negative space as a template to daub color inside of it and create the same image with ink.

To kick off Sale-A-Bration with the Occasions catalog I held a workshop and we had a fabulous time creating this sweet Valentine card. My number one paper I have been using for making Valentine themed cards is the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack. It is simply amazing and both sides match every single paper. I just love it!

The second card was changed slightly with the use of the Sweet Heart Punch instead of a diagonal cut where the sentiment was stamped. If you don’t order the paper while it’s hot, I assure you that you’ll be kicking yourself in the but if you don’t order it now.

  • To make the sentiment stand out a little I stamped the sentiment on a Whisper White diagonal cut card stock on the first card. I wanted the second card slightly different so I changed the shape with the Sweetheart Punch heart. I think I like the heart shape better. Which one do you like better?
