I Don’t Have Friends

Friendship

Today marks the last challenge for the long-standing Pals Paper Arts card challenges and I’ve had the honor to have been a team member for the last year and a half.  It’s been fun, it’s been real, and each and every challenge was real fun!  I’m going to miss it, but at the same time there are plans in the works to begin the entry into other card challenges.

Pals Paper Arts 324

This last sketch is one created by the fabulously talented Ginger Toivonen.  I’d love for the last challenge to go out with a bang by getting you to enter a card for the awesome sketch.

Stamp, Ink, Paper: Thank You Color Challenge

Stamp Ink Paper

I absolutely love the colors that were selected for this weeks Stamp Ink Paper Challenge and I hope to see what you come up with too.

1

Stamp Ink Paper

The Details:

  • Pedal On the Edge.  I didn’t want the sentiment to look plain on the whisper white cardstock and chose to stamp it with one of the pedals stamps around the edges with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  It’s my go to ink these days for images that will be colored in with our Stampin’ Write markers.  The ink also stands up to watercoloring and I can’t stop using it instead of any other inks because it doesn’t bleed.
  • Colored in Pedal.  To used the gray pen in the Neutrals Stampin’ Write marker set because I also used a couple pieces from a retired punch left from Smoky Slate cardstock.

AUGUST ON-LINE ORDERS.  Use Host Code Z2C2PCVJ and receive a gift from me  when you place an on-line order via my on-line store.  Do not use if your order is more than $150. You will receive additional Host Reward and you’ll automatically receive a gift from me.

I WELCOME HOBBY STAMPERS TO THE PALS COMMUNITY!  If your motivation is simply to get the kit and enjoy at least 3 months of demonstrator discounts (20% or more), benefits and resources just for YOU, it’s OK!!  There’s no risk, no obligation to purchase anything further and no penalty to drop!  Why not give Stampin’ Up! and my Circle of Pals a test drive and start building your $99 Starter Kit here.

Peace, Love & Lots of Hugs,
Maggie

Pals Blog Hop: Spring has Sprung

2016badge-blackberry
Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for March 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring Spring and Spring related projects. We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

To make my card for the hop, I broke out with some stamp sets that had a thick layer of dust on them (LOL).  No, seriously I can’t remember when the last time I used them.  Wait, I remember now, I used them this week to make my blog hop card.

Happy Easter

I haven’t used the Flower Shop stamp set or the Pansy Punch in quite a while and since the Spring reminds me of so many pretty flowers (along with my horrible allergies) I thought it would make the perfect Spring/Easter card.  Teeny Tiny Wishes has been my go-to sentiment since I became a demonstrator almost five years ago.  The Pansy’s were stamped on the free with purchase Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack.  It’s what gives it the shadow that comes through the paper.  I also punched the matching cardstock and layered it underneath the vellum to prevent the images from being washed out with the whisper white.  The card looked a little plain when I finished it, so I added some sequin from the 2013-2015 In-Color Assortment that is still available in the Clearance Rack…lucky you.  For a couple bucks, I’d grab a few because they’ll definitely last a very long time.  Come back in a couple days because I’ll be giving away TWO packs of the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stacks as blog candy.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

St. Patrick's Day

I normally don’t make St. Patrick’s Day cards, but when I do…I make sure there’s some pink on them (LOL). Thank goodness I have Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set because it comes with the perfect St. Patty’s day sentiment!

St. Patrick's Day

MAGGIE MADE TIPS: Not in cash, but great crafting recommendations.

  • Add Color: Did you noticed the splash of extra color?  Go on and spice up a card with a vibrant color to give it an interesting pop. There’s already a variety of green shades to convey the sentiment, but adding one contrasting color will make the focal point stand out even more.
  • Subtle Balance: I added three sequen on the upper right side of the card to give the card a good eye-pleasing balance.

Elite Newsletter: Last post I announced that ALL my past customers are already a part of my Elite Newsletter and you will ALWAYS receive a FREE gift from me with a monthly qualifying purchase. In ten days you know you’re an Elite Member because you will receive a Maggie Made Newsletter in your mailbox and the free gift for the month will be announced at that time.

How do you become a member? You have until February 28th to place a minimum $75 on-line purchase (before tax & shipping) through my on-line store. Pals Blog Hop – What We Love

Welcome to the February Pals Blog Hop. This month we are sharing what we love – our favorite Stampin’ Up! products and our favorite crafting techniques.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from number 17, Martie Pollard at The Crafty Bandit. Use the full lineup below to move along from blog to blog so you see all of the new projects.

Each time I’m asked what my favorite Stampin’ Up! product is I draw a blank. Not because I don’t have one, but because I have too many and ‘ain’t nobody got time for that!’.

St. Patrick's Day

However, my favorite products are the framelits. They give you the freedom to cut shapes out anywhere on the paper and my favorite technique is making a negative with the framelits.

Four Leaf Clover Four Leaf Clover Four Leaf Clover

MAGGIE MADE TIPSNot in cash, but great crafting recommendations

  • Framelits: Are perfect for creating negative space for the backdrop to a focal point.
  • Create Your Own Shape: Such as this four leaf clover. Yes, it requires that you run it through your big shot four times, but it takes less than three minutes to create it. If your making several of the same card simply cut two at a time.
  • Recycle Paper: The smaller 4-leaf clover is from a previous project I was working on. I just used the heart in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and adhered them with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The next stop is number 19, Lynn Kolcun at Avery’s Owlery on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I’ll see you next month.
