In Your Time of Need I’m “Thinking of You…”

Sorry1

When I sat to make this card, I had a heavy heart.  A dear friend lost her father and I was reminded that we are all vulnerable to so many things here on earth.  She’s a pretty strong lady, but still needed to know that I was thinking of her during her time of sorrow.

Sorry2

Although these are the kind of cards I HATE to make, I pour my heart full of LOVE into them.  That is why I put the small heart in it.  My heart is bigger than that =), but a bright red heart on any card brings a little bit of love and warmth… wouldn’t you agree?

Sorry3

I punched out a scalleop circle to add a little cloud around the sentiment and used a white marker to represent my thoughts and prayers for my friend.  Thank you for choosing to stop by my blog.  You are simply beautiful and I appreciate you!

Stampin’ Up! a Thank You

Do you have a favorite color?  I have two.  My primary favorite color is pink and secondary is deep blue.  I call the Pacific Point card stock Wolverine Blue because I’m a University Michigan football fan.  Although the school’s Maize color is brighter than the So Saffron, it compliments the flower patterns in the Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper beautifully.

I used Easy Events stamp set that I left in nude.  I know you’re thinking… Stampin’ Up! has a nude color?  Actually, no, but since I didn’t paint the petals, they are bascially nude don’t you think? (LoL)  What is so ironic is that I have no eye for color (LoL).  I’m not color blind, I just don’t know how to match colors very well.

I have nothing to worry about.  Why?  Because Stampin’ Up! color matches just about everything?  Don’t forget to check out the hot sales/current promotion Stampin’ Up! has going on.  This entire week is Black Friday, so if you are wondering what you can get your friends or family for Christmas… think about the great deals you can make out with without ever fighting the crowds.

This card was created using a sketch by Margaret Moody at the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge.

A Faithful Friend

There is a special friend that I think about everyday.  She came back from a deployment on the other side of the world earlier this year and as many of us have experienced… we are forever changed in one way or another.  When we deploy we change, some a little and some a lot. Everyone changes according to their personal experiences and one is not like the other.  It is neither a good or bad thing… it’s just something that happens.  It’s the hardest thing anyone can imagine and we are often expected to slip back into life and assume nothing has changed.  My friend is special to me and I want her to know that I understand the changes and that she is my treasured friend.

MAGGIE’S BAZAAR:  As a way to make room for new products from the 2012-13 Stampin’ Up! Catalog, I am selling my retired stamp sets.  Most of the stamp sets are slighlty used and in extremely excellant condition.  Shipping is free for all items and they are non-refundable.  Please email me if you have any questions.

There are also some one-of-a-kind cards that are for sale too.  I can hear some of my friends saying, “Finally!  I can buy a card from Maggie!”  =)  Thank you for the awesome compliment.  I will post them for sale as I make them, but not all will be sold since I make the majority of my cards as personal cards to give away.

A Comfort Cafe Birthday and Your Cake to Eat

I wanted to be different and I used a technique used by many paper crafters.  I pretty much punched straight on the card itself and added a stamp on each of the window openings.  Each time I get new stamps, paper, and ribbon I feel like a kid in a candy store.  What better way to kick off the new catalog than with the most colorful, cheery, and bright Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper and gorgeous seam binding ribbon!  It feels like silk and very easy to make bows out of.  I made a double bow and it was perfectly straight and bouncy.

A Late Birthday Wish

Wow!  These are certainly some bright bold colors.  I really truly hate missing birthdays!  But oh what the opportunity it provides to using some of the cutest stamp sets.  Here I used the Easy Events stamp set that will still be in the 2012 Catalog.  I also took the opportunity to add some bold Pumkpin Pie cardstock from the Brights Collection.  I absolutely LOVE the new Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper too!  I will definitely need to order some more come June 1st!

Don’t let time get away and get your 2012 Catalog today!  The Labels Collection framelits are in there too… take a look.
