Buenos Pensamientos… Good Thoughts

Good Thoughts

I hope by now you have seen the versatility with the Blessed Easter stamp.  It has, hands down, become my favorite Spring stamp since making the tulips behind the fence.  If you didn’t get to see it…click here.

Good Thoughts

Lesson Learned:  Don’t be afraid to add a darker color when picking out Spring colors.  After I created the quick & easy layout I felt like something was missing… and I wanted to add a small pop of color.  Would you believe that the chocolate chip card stock was a tiny piece that was left over from a different project!?  Don’t be afraid to add a darker color when added tiny details.

Friendship

I want to take this moment to tell you about the Circle of Pals.  We are a group of crafters who enjoy not just in-person friendships, but also a true virtual connection.  Click here to find out what makes us special.

While you’re at it, take the time to read more about me… it’s me in a nut shell and I would love for you to get to know me even more.  On top of what you read… you will get to know how deep my passions for card-making.

It’s important for you to know that I offer a no pressure membership into the Circle of Pals.  I’m all about SAVING you money and suggesting how to MAXIMIZE product for less money.  Something you will NOT find elsewhere.

While I’m at it… I’d like to give Amy J., Michelle C., and Donna L. a very warm SHOUT OUT and WELCOME to the Circle of Pals!  You have made a wise choice… I promise you that your lives are about to become much sweeter than it already was!  You have just joined a Stampin’ Up! group that is bigger than anything you have ever dreamed of.

Tulips in the Spring

Flowers Tulips Here’s the third card made with the wonderful Blessed Easter Stamp Set (Occasions Catalog, page 20).  This card is going all the way to France.  I belong to an international card swap group and each month we swap cards all over the country.  I can’t wait to send this off on Monday morning.  I really hope my swapmate loves it as much as I do.Flowers Tulips Unlike the other two cards I made with the Blessed Easter set, I only stamped it once and used Stampin’ Write markers with an Aqua Painter to soften the colors.  However, since I stamped it twice and cut out the tulips so that I may layer them, I did color the tulips with each marker directly on the paper so that the bottom gave off a rich glow.  The pictures just don’t do it any justice.  It’s absolutely goreous!Flowers Tulips

I used a snip bit of the Summer Starfruit Twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack you get for FREE with your purchase of $50 or more during Sale-a-bration!  Purchase the items listed below and you will receive the accessory pack for FREE, but only until March 31st.

My Paper PumpkinWant to admire my card from afar and simply get something cut and ready to put together?  Then get on board with the My Paper Pumpkin Subscription.  It is delivered to your doorstep each month and you control when you don’t want it.

These have become so popular amongt current demonstrators that they are being ordered in duplicate quantities.  I have to admit, I get two each month just for me and the March My Pumpker Pumpkin kit has already become a smash hit amongst current demonstrators.  In my private Pals group, demos are posting requests for anyone wanting to sell their kit because they didn’t order one it in time.

Click HERE to sign up for your kit before the end of the month and I will send you a sample from the March kit as seen below.

Tulips in a Flower Frame

Flowers Tulips Frame

This week was a very busy one for me and in between the chaos I found time to stamp just a couple of times.  However, last weeks Pals Blog Hop: Spring Is Here was what I called my 10th one hit wonder… LoL.  I’m working on my 11th, but I’ll need your help.  Emails continue to pour in about the Blessed Easter stamp I used.

The stamp set is in the 2014 Occasions Catalog, page 20 and I highly suggest you get yours now!  Also, my BFF Pam has challenged me to show you the versatility in this ONE stamp.  Can’t wait for you to see the other card I made already either… it’s crying out, “post me, post me, I’m next” LoL.

The snipping took the longest, but I know in my heart it will be loved once it is received by a very special friend of mine.  The picture below shows the inside of the card and the stamp I used for that is the Really Good Greetings Clear Mount, but you can write in it too.

Pals Blog Hop: Spring is Here

Welcome to the Pals March Blog Hop. This month we are excited to kick-off Spring with our creative projects. We hope you enjoy these creations and we hope Spring finds you soon!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Lynn Kolcun at Stamping with Avery’s Owlery, #28 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

Spring Fence

My creation speaks Spring without a sentiment. I thought about it though… about a thousand times.  But in the end I left it off because the card itself is from a memory of Holland in 1990.

Spring Fence

When I first laid my eyes on the Blessed Easter stamp set, it took me way back to the time I spent in Europe.  I was a young girl exploring the world with the Air Force.  I had never seen such beauty in my life at that time.

To that memory I added the wooden fence I often see lining the homes of many homes during my travels all over the United States.  Growing up in Los Angeles, California… I had never seen wooden fences, only wire ones around the barrio where I grew up.

I made the fence from the Hardwood stamp and simply cut it in half and fussy cut each individual piece of wood.  Stampin’ Dimensionals give it a 3-D pop effect.  The silver mini brads complete the fence and finish off the look of nails.

The next stop is Nicole Watt  at Pixel Maven’s Retreat, #30 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.
