Stamp Ink Paper: Tic Tac Toe Easter

Today’s card is dedicated to God.  He gave me Life and a talent that I still critique more than anything.  I believe in practicing reflection often and not just once a year.  Today I think of all the wonderful friendships I have made simply because I love to stamp.  Creativity is a work in progress for many of us and the #1 way to push oneself to learn more is to participate in challenges.  Thank you so much for visiting today….now in time for Easter hop on over to the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #94 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

So go on and get your Easter Bunny on with us over at the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge.

The Details:

  • Bunny.  Use a small oval punch or the smallest oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies and cut one side straight across.  For the head, the smallest circle in the Layering Circle Framelits Dies would be perfect.  However, you can use any size oval and circle because you can make the bunny as large or small as you’d like.  I got the pink tail from a different project, which was purchased from one of the big box stores (they’re fairly cheap).
  • Crosses.  I stamped the Hardwood stamp with Soft Suede ink.  I then cut little tiny rectangular pieces to make the crosses.  They came out perfect!

Friendship

Here it is my friends!  The plug to the hole in my heart is the Retro Rubber (Card) Challenge. I’m not on the design team, but will start using my vast Stampin’ Up! collection of years gone past.  Cards made with my ‘antique’ collection usually don’t make the blog because they aren’t available for purchase from Stampin’ Up! and I’m not selling them. But now I’ll be able to show them off on the blog and I’m so excited and I only hate that you can’t see the goofy smile on my face.

everything-nice-2005-suStamp set used for the Retro Rubber Challenge (RRCB50) is the retired set And Everything Nice – 2005.  It is absolutely nothing but cuteness.  If you have an older stamp set you’d like to show off I’d also love to see your card on the challenge.

Friendship The Details:

  • Water-color Madness.  For over a month now I have been water-coloring like a mad woman and the best tool I’ve found that works great for me are the Aqua Painters.  They come in two brush sizes and I tend to use the smaller one.  I love that the brush allows me to be able to start off with a darker shade of the color and I brush in short strokes to push the color down where I want it to blend.  You just have to practice practice practice.
  • Please Leave a Comment.  Your comments give me the encouragement to continue the blog and share my love of handmade cards.  I’d love for you to forward this post to a friend and say, “If I had made this card, I would’ve sent it to you.” LOL…then I want you to come back and let me know what they said.
  • Share Some Sunshine.  Did you think of a specific friend when you first saw the retro image and read the cute sentiment?  Please share it.  Scroll down to the bottom of the post and click on the envelope image to share the card with someone whom you think can use a little bit of sunshine today.

Peek-a-boo: I’m Here for You

Here for You

We’ve all been in a place where we needed a friend and hopefully you’ve been there for a friend who has needed a friend and that friend was you. Did you know that sending someone a handwritten card provides more comfort that a text?  Try it sometime. =)

Here for you

The Details:

  • Another Brick in the Wall. I love that old song!  But hey, want to make the Brick Wall embossing folder different? Simply trim a brick out and stamp an image that will be seen through it.  How easy is that?
  • Give the Brick Wall an Old Look.  You can achieve a speckled look and give the wall some flare with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. It’s perfect and it does’t have to be perfect.
  • Create a Vistor. Snip out another little creature on the front side of the wall so the one stuck behind the wall isn’t so lonely. LOL.  I stamped only one hedgehog from the Love You lots set and snip it and if you use a Stampin’ Dimensional it’ll look like it’s truly standing near the wall. I love it!!!
