Stampin! Up! Gee, Thanks + Give-a-Way

Gee Thanks 1

I love this particular stamp… why?  Because it reminds me of how my son would say it to me.  The heavy font adds a little more emphasis and gives it a jovial sound.

A perfect card to give to someone who has completely surprised you with a gift you were least expecting.  This is how I felt when Stampin’ Up! let me keep an extra My Paper Pumpkin  kit they accidentally sent to me.  I called them to let them know they sent an extra one and I needed to send it back.  I shouted, “GEE,THANKS!” when the representative said I could keep it.

So, what am I doing with it?  I’m giving it away!  I’m in a giving mood and I want to send it to someone who would love to try the kit.  To win it all you have to do is leave me a comment below and tell me why you wan to try it.  A winner will be selected on Monday, May 17th via my Facebook page.

Gee Thanks 2

Seriously though… while deployed I’m completing my professional military education.  It’s a little military education your recruiter doesn’t tell you about.  It’s painful, lengthy, and you just want to get it over with.

Yet in the end, you are so glad you finished it because you get a better understanding of why the Air Force exists.  Like the card… you experience a Gee, Whiz moment.

The greatest outcome of finishing your military education is that you become eligible to meet the promotion board. Doesn’t mean you’re going to get it, just means your can go up against your peers.  My board meets next month… wish me luck.

Go on get the stamp set and the paper… you are going to love it!

Stampin’ Up was always so wonderful that way. One of the great reasons it was hard to say goodbye after 10 years… If you randomly happen to select me Maggie, I absolutely insist you donate it to one of your deployed troops who could really use a “pick-me-up” one day. And then use that great smile of yours and help get his/her creative juices flowing! Stay safe and God Bless!

  3. Thank you for serving in the Air Force. It’s nice to know there are gals who give their time to do this. I love your cards, nice and clean look. I’ve never tried the clear stamps or pumpkin kit. Guess I’ll have to consider them soon. Good luck with your deployment and the boards.

  9. Hey Maggie
I’m glad to see you already have five comments. Now you know people are reading your blog posts. Your stories are special, and I read them more for your personal news than for the cards (although your cards are always awesome!). You’re probably aware that lots more people read and don’t post than those who read and then write back. I’ll admit to being one of the lurkers at times. Basically shy, I feel it is presumptuous of me to think anyone wants to hear from me more than once in a while. BUT – I do love reading your blog posts and I got a great big smile on my face when I saw that photo of you and Avery, forehead to forehead. That photo is priceless!!!

I’m the wife of a retired military spouse. He was Army, but we were stationed at Misawa Air Base at one time and I worked for the Air Force there for 3 years as a civilian. Would LOVE to win the paper Pumpkin kit to share with my granddaughter this summer. She loves creating with me! the P
