Sending Love & Blog Candy Reminder

Sending Love

Hello again everyone… today is my last day of Spring Break and will end it with spending it with family over dinner at TGIF.  I saw the Jack Daniels burger commercial and now I want one.  The person who came up with the commercial idea has earned their pay… it made me want to visit them…. LOL.

On another note, I normally do not make custom cards, but simply sell the one’s I don’t give away (you can see them here).  However, once in a while someone will ask for a custom card.  Making custom cards scare me.  Why?  Because making a card is my hobby and I always feel that perhaps I may not make what they envisioned.

Either way, I sometimes bend a little and go ahead and make the card.  All I ask is for artistic freedom and only ask for desired color theme.

Sending Love

Back to this card… A friend at work asked if I could help him out and make a special card for his wife before I deployed.  I couldn’t say no because he is a very caring family guy.  The love for his family is evident in how he speaks of his wife and children, so being the non-crafty person that I am (for real… I’m not kidding).  I will prove it below… hahaha.

I CASE’d (Copy and Share Everything) this card from Clean and Simple Cards by Kristie Lee.  Told you I’m not crafty… If I like what I see, I copy it. LoL.  The “sending love” rubber stamp was used from the Retired Ain’t Love Grand stamp set.  If you want to purchase it you must buy it NOW because I only have ONE available to sell in my “Retired Stamps for Sale“.

In the craft world we all share our designs and only ask to be given credit when copied.  However, I did change it up and made it my own.  Let’s just say, Freddie* was very happy with the card and I’m sure his wife will love it.  What’s not to love, it was made just for her. =)

*Real name changed to protect the innocent.

I used the words in the balloon stamp and colored it in with a Real Red Stampin’ Write marker.

Ain't Love Grand Stamp SetThe stamp set used (Ain’t Love Grand) to stamp “sending love” is now retired.  I only have one available, so if you want to make this card using the same rubber stamp, you must be the first one to buy it here.
