Manly Monday: Nuts Over You

Nuts About You

After I made this card I was trying to verbally paint a picture for my friend (Pam) of what it looked like.  Since she was on her way over, I figure I’d just let her see it when she arrived.  When she arrived I reached to the window sill where I had put it last, but it was gone!  I searched and searched to no avail!  As she helped me look for it she asked, “is it a man-card with nuts on it?”

I thought it was funny because unlike normal ladies, I have a dirty mind and I couldn’t contain the laughter that followed for a few minutes.  Did I find the card?  Yes, in the trash can.  What had happened was… I put the card along with others on the window sill… when I opened the window to let in the fresh and so clean (clean) air it was knocked over and into the trash it went.

So, I officially name today Manly Monday.  It is dedicated to my other half.  Who actually (all on his own) signed up to follow My Paper Journey via email about 6 months ago… I think I’ll keep him… LoL.

Nuts Over You

Lesson Learned:  Expand your stamp collection with what you already have.  How?  Use various words to create your own… the way I have.  I have the Designer Typeset Photopolymer set that is no longer available because once these stamp sets are sold out… you can no longer get them.  So when you see one that you think is cute… go get it!

To make my sentiment, I spelled out NUTS and then used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the words ‘about you’  from the stamp that says, ‘finally a day that is all about you’.  Using words from a sentiment allows you expand the stamp collection you already have!  Woooo Hoooo!!!

SaleabrationI want to quickly remind you that FREE product during Sale-a-bration will end on March 31st.  Who doesn’t like FREE stuff!?… chirp… chirp… crickets… that’s what I thought… LOL

Oh… before I say thank you for visiting me… don’t forget about My Paper Pumpkin!  Thanks for stopping by.
