I’m Thinking of You

I work full-time to feed my habit.  What is my habbit?  You’re looking at it.  It relieves so much of the stress in daily living that I love sharing it with you, but I’m often not sure if anyone really enjoys it.  However, I do know one thing, the person who receives my handmade cards loves that I thought of them.

The written letter brings joy to a person’s heart and sometimes moves them to tears.  I love to feel the love.  Have you ever felt this happiness I’m talking about?  You too can send a little love to others.  How?  By joining my Circle of Pals.

Items used were the Polka Dot Parade designer series paper, Early Espresso card stock, Bordering on Romance stamp set, and Real Red card stock for the tiny blossoms with the tiny Basic Pearls.

Stampin’ Butterflies In Flight

My goodness, I have been involved in a very involved work assignment that I haven’t had a moment to post.  Although I’m tired and don’t know if it’s Thursday or Friday, I wanted to show my little butterflies in flight.

This card is proof that simple can be sweet and to the point… LoL.  Instead of using actual ribbon, I used a strip of Very Vanilla card stock to mimic a ribbon and add emphasis to the polka dot to solid color division of the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack.

All too often I have so many favorite stamps sets and punches that I can’t stop from saying “this is one of my favorite stamps or punches,” but in reality Stampin’ Up! has so many wonderful sets that I just can’t have one favorite.  With this said, I just have to say, “the Papillon Potpourri is one of my FAVORITE stamps and punches!”

For real, for real!  I love the delicate butterfly imprint the stamp leaves.  I can almost see it take flight with all it’s beauty of flowers… =)  Makes me happy. =)  Well, I’m off to rest… tomorrow is the end of the big project at work and I’m so looking to getting a massage and being free like a butterfly… LoL.

A Little Birdie Goes Tweet Tweet Tweet

My featured stamp set (For the Birds) wins my heart.  Why?  Because it is perfect for the beginner stamper.  It has seven different stamps to make your first creations with… from sending birthday wishes, tellin’ somebody you miss them, and even a Merry Christmas stamp!  This is a must have with your Starter Kit now!

I was lost in trying to use this very different paper pattern called International Bazaar.  I would never call it ugly, but I would say it gave me a little creative block (LoL).  I wanted to use my Adorning Accents Edgelits since buying them when they first came out and this was the perfect layout!

So I took the Daffodil Delight cardstock to help bring out the yellow in the Internation Bazzar Designer Series Paper and used the Adorning Accents Edgelits to frame the sides and the Beautiful Wings Embossilits for the butterflies.

Match your Designer Series Paper patters perfectly each time by using my handy dandy Coordinating Colors cheat sheet.  Feel free to print it and use it.  What better?  Sharing it with a friend.  Come on, share your secret and be a good friend.

Who is a Blessing In Your Life?

Who are your blessings in your life?  I can name so many people, I would run out of room.  Even those people that caused me heartache are a blessing.  Why you ask?  Because they taught me lessons, lessons that the Good Lord needed me to learn and grow in my faith so that I could walk with my head up high.  I am proud of who I have become because of YOU… yes YOU.  You did not get to my blog by mistake.  I love you all and only wish happiness in your hearts and blessings to your life.

I have recently discovered paper quilting.  It was a little tricky at first, but I think I got the hang of it.  The secret is to let the papers touch and almost look like they overlap by a hair.  When you run it through the embosser, the paper will slightly stretch and it will become flush with the paper next to it.  I used a smaller piece of card stock to glue the smaller blocks on it.  It allows the paper to emboss smoothly and blend together.  Go on try it.

I Promise You, This Too Shall Pass

I’m a firm believer that time heals all wounds and our faith keeps us strong.  I have experienced the pain and agony a person goes through when something happens to us, a family member, or a close friend.  I have often heard others say, “I’m sorry for your loss, or you are a strong person… you’ll be okay.”  They hug us to show physical support, but then they leave.  Not because they don’t care, but because life goes on.  It’s not a bad thing, but when I tell someone I’m sorry for what they are enduring, I like to give them a little something to let them know they are in my thoughts & prayers.

This stamp is new this year and Stampin’ Up! left nothing out!  The set comes with other beautiful stamps, you will know you just have to have it when you see it.  Go on take a LOOK at it now.  Pair it up with our basic colors and get yourself the Classic Stampin’ Spots, then come on over and I will show you how to put a sweet simple card together for FREE!  You have no creativity?  No worries, you don’t NEED it.
